Student of the Week
In an effort to allow students a chance to showcase their families, interests and talents I have created a "Student of the Week" bulletin board in the classroom. This is a space that will change each week allowing all students a chance to showcase themselves and be the “star”.
My intent is to make the preparation for this week as painless as possible. Students should create a 1/2 poster, which will be displayed all week in the classroom. They will also present their poster to our class. Please feel free to help your child and be as creative or simple as you desire. On Friday, each student will also be allowed to present and share with the class one item of show and tell that is important to them. Please no live animals for the show and tell.
On the additional tab below "Student of the Week", you will find a "Student of the Week Calendar" where you will see a list of dates of which week has been assigned to each child in the class. I tried to avoid weeks with holidays as well as weeks immediately following major holidays. If you cannot do the week you are scheduled, please switch with someone and just let me know about the switch.
On your child’s Student of the Week poster, they should include the following somewhere on their 1/2 piece of poster board:
Name
Birthday
Brothers or sisters
Favorite: (Please include at least 5 favorites): Book, Color, Sport, Hobby, Holiday, TV show, Movie, Food, Ice Cream flavor, Movie, Animal, School Subject, Pizza Topping
And any other interesting facts about you that you think we should know!
Have fun!!
